Music and writing are tightly connected. some writings inspires music while, other times things like poetry are used as lyrics for music. music i written usually before it is preformed unless the composition is improvised. Writing is used in music for communication, teaching purposes, learning, sharing ideas, seeing how your methods for teaching are received, or even sharing stories about composers or music history. the similarities between music, and the writing process can be difficult to find. their are similarity between the two. they both start out with and idea. from the idea comes research. next comes the composition and with in the compositions their are often revisions made to improve the music. During these revisions you may let others review your music and give you advice. after several revisions the music is what the composer wants, and they will preform it for and audience just like a writer would present a paper to and audience.

I love the odd and unique sound of Bulgarian music. The sound is nothing like we use in the united states. I have always wanted to learn the technique they use to preform this type of music. Unfortunately this style of singing is not wildly excepted in western culture and not a normal type of singing that is widely practiced. i can only imagine going into a voice lesson and belting out any type of music with the Bulgarian open-throated technique. My teacher would probably, while not surprised considering i do a lot of left field things, not appreciate the damage i could do to my vocal chords. Regardless I love the style, technique and sound that comes from traditional Bulgarian folk music.
